Student Activities

A wide range of events and activities designed to engage students in Health Innovation.  The HIP Student Advisory Group (SAG) provides strategic and tactical advice on student programs and includes student representatives from major health-related student groups at Emory and Georgia Tech.

  • Healthcare Innovation Symposium 25 - Fumbling the Handoff in Transition Care - February 20, 2019, Emory School of Medicine, Auditorium 120,12:00-2:00 pm. The Keynote Speaker will be Mary D. Naylor, PhD, RN, Marian S. Ware Professor in Gerentology and Director of the
    NewCourtland Center fro Transitions in Health at the University of Pennsylvania Shchool of Nursing.
     
  • Student Interest Group Meeting w/Mary Naylor, February 20, 2019, 5:00-6:00 pm, Emory School of Nursing, Room 201.  IHI Open School is sponsoring a student-led interest group meeting with Dr. Naylor following the symposium. This happy-hour style discussion will be an opportunity for students to learn more from Dr. Naylor in a more intimate setting. Pizza and drinks will be provided. All students are welcome.   • Apply to be a student presenter at the 5th Annual Student Symposium.  This year's theme is Religion in Healthcare. Click here to applyWe are looking for students from various disciplines and schools to provide their perspectives and insights on the intersection of religion and healthcare. This is a great opportunity for student speakers to get paired with a faculty to receive hands-on coaching to make a presentation to an audience of fellow students and faculty/staff.

  • Student Symposium - Religion in Healthcare - March 19, 2019, 6:00 - 8:00 pm, (dinner served 5:30-6:00 pm) RSPH, CNR Auditorium, ground floor - The symposium will feature students presenting from various health-related disciplines. Speakers will address how our healthcare system engages with religion, both positively and negatively.  Click here to register.  Click here for flyer.
