My research focuses primarily on health disparities in access to solid organ transplantation. Several recent projects have examined the role of poverty in racial disparities in access to renal transplantation among pediatric and adult End Stage Renal Disease patients. In addition, the role of poverty in racial disparities of post-transplant outcomes, including patient and graft survival, is being explored in both renal and liver transplantation. Other areas of research: Impact of neighborhood poverty, degree of rurality, distance to health care center, and other geospatial factors on health outcomes; Quality improvement among dialysis facilities in the Southeastern U.S.
