HIP-IHI COVID-19 Essay Contest
In lieu of our typical annual Student Symposium and Student Networking events, the Healthcare Innovation Program (HIP) and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Open School Emory Chapter held an essay contest as an opportunity for students from various disciplines to provide their perspectives and insights.
Topic: How would you improve healthcare delivery to those in need during pandemics?
Essays may focus on testing (e.g., more rapid screening and diagnostic tests), improving care delivery models to vulnerable populations (eg, seniors, indigent populations), protecting our healthcare workforce, changing regulatory requirements to accelerate deployment of new therapies, or many other relevant topics. This essay contest invited students from all backgrounds to present their thoughts!
