Highlights and achievements

I was selected from a group of 15 students as one of the top 2 presentations on recommendations for commercialization of a proposed biomedical technology. As a result, I was given the opportunity to present to a room full of prominent Atlanta businesspeople.

I'm currently working on...

As President of GHA, I am currently organizing our 12th Annual Forum and Case Competition event. Additionally, I am a TA for Goizueta's Business of Healthcare class and I am a team guide for Impact360 Healthcare, which supports a team on their consulting project analyzing the plan for commercialization of a pharmaceutical product for a Biotech startup company.

I hope to innovate healthcare by...

My eight years of nursing experience in a variety of hospitals has allowed me to observe numerous inefficiencies and inconsistencies in healthcare delivery systems. I hope to combine my unique perspective as a clinician with the skills and thorough understanding of the industry that I've gained while in school to develop creative solutions to the challenges facing healthcare providers.

My greatest mentor has been...

I developed a close relationship with the director of the inpatient cardiovascular program at Boston Children's Hospital, where I worked previously. She is a former nurse, got her MBA, and is now the VP of a children's hospital in Oregon. She has been a great mentor to me in advising me in my career decisions.

When I have free time, I like...

My guilty pleasure is watching Keeping up with the Kardashians and The Bachelor. I am a huge sports fan so I enjoy watching and attending as many sporting events as possible (particularly football or any of my Boston teams). I also enjoy working out, hiking, and traveling whenever possible.

The craziest thing I've done is...

Playing with tigers in Chiang Mai, Thailand. They didn't inform us until after we were already in their cage, that it was just before feeding time!
